Brian and I have reserved the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center and officially have the date now – Saturday, April 11, 2009. Now we’ve got less then a year to plan it!
Month: May 2008
Closer To The Date
Brian called and put a hold on the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center this morning! As soon as we work out the details with Irene, our wedding coordinator, we’ll fill out the forms, put down the deposit and give you all the official date! I’ll give you a hint…it’s in 2009. 🙂
We Found The Place
Brian and I set out on Saturday, in what we thought would be a rainy and gloomy day, to find a beach location for the wedding and a venue for the reception. As we got closer and closer to the beach the rain slowly turned to drizzle. Before we knew it there was no rain Continue reading
Arup Girlie Weekend
There’s nothing like a weekend with the girls – especially a dozen girls. The Second Annual Girlie Weekend took place in Santa Barbara this year and the highlight was an in-city tour of the local wineries. We used Captain Jack’s Santa Barbara Tours and visited four local winery tasting rooms including Summerland Winery tasting room, Continue reading
Happy Birthday to Me!
So I haven’t celebrated my birthday since my mom’s passing in 2003. She found out she had three months to live on my birthday in 2003 and she died on August 1st. On May 14, 2004, ironically, my birthday landed on Mother’s Day. That year I vowed never to celebrate my birthday again. It’s funny Continue reading
Renaissance Faire
Sarah, Brian, Bernie and I went to the Renaissance Faire on Saturday. Yes, that’s my axe throwing man!
The Celebration Starts Now
Okay…so my birthday isn’t until this coming Wednesday (the 14th) but who says I can’t start the celebration now? So, I say it starts NOW. We had a blast at Bottlerock in Culver City. I don’t even remember how much champagne I had but I had lots to celebrate – my engagement to Brian and Continue reading
Now That My (soon-to-be) MIL Knows…
…Brian and I can officially announce our engagement to everyone! On Friday, May 2nd we headed down to San Diego for the weekend. It was a beautiful day so we stopped off in San Clemente at Kultured Kitchen for a snack (thanks for the tip Nathan – they have the best frozen yogurt EVER!) and Continue reading
Chamber Evening
Chamber Evening is not only a fund-raiser for the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber, but also the largest single-day scuba charity event in the United States. Brian and I attended the event with Eco Dive Center. Here are a few pictures from the evening.
The Del
Brian and I stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado for the first time on Friday night and had a great time. There’s nothing like having an ocean front room with a view like the one above. Here are some photos from our weekend.
