My wife and I have been talking about what our dream outdoor spaces would look like since shortly after we moved into our home in November 2008. A large patio, an outdoor kitchen, covered lounge space, comfy furniture, some citrus trees, and great lighting have all been in our imagination for our space. After spending Continue reading

A little lighter
Today marks the end of the sixth week of my new weight loss endeavor. Maureen and I each got a FitBit and signed up on My Fitness Pal. The FitBit is basically a pedometer, but it also tracks how many flights of stairs you walk up and the number of calories you burn based upon Continue reading
Brian’s Big 3-0 Birthday Weekend
Thirty…while it usually comes with a negative stigma, to me it was just another year gone by. Maureen organized a fantastic party this weekend. I was joined by my mom, dad and brother, friends and of course Maureen and Ethan. We all enjoyed lots of food and drink. The steak, Italian sausages, potato salad and Continue reading
Remembering Josephine
Grandma would have been 83 years old today. Quite an accomplishment as far as I am concerned. The picture was taken at my first birthday party (I think) in August 1980. I cannot say that I remember the event, but I will always think of this picture when I think of my Grandma. It is Continue reading
He Kicked!
This morning we saw our baby boy kick for the very first time. We were lying in bed and we saw Maureen’s belly move from the baby shifting and kicking! I was very exciting for us. Check out the week-by-week fetal development pictures at BabyCenter.com.

Got Appendages
Maureen and I went to our first visit with Dr. Chan this afternoon. She was great! Maureen and the baby were checked out and all is going very well. We were able to see a clear head, hands and feet. AND…we were able to her our baby’s heartbeat! More to follow in a few weeks.
Can You Say Stucco and Drywall?
Well, the construction is cruising along…we have the first coat of stucco on the exterior and most of the drywall is up inside! Take a look at the house page for more photos.
We Have Exterior Walls
We were out at the house this morning and were very happy to see the that exterior wall construction was nearing completion. The wall substrate was installed, the tar paper was on and the wire backing for the stucco was up on the entire exterior. The crews were working today, so we were not able Continue reading
