We are so excited to announce that soon our family will be growing by one! No, I’m not pregnant. We are adopting a miniature dachshund! I’ve long been a fan of this breed of dog and have wanted to get another one for a long time. Brian has been adamantly apposed for as long as I can remember but he finally gave into the begging from the entire household.
With all that’s going on in the world with this crazy COVID-19 pandemic, it seemed like the right time. Since we are all home and can take part in loving and training a new furry family member we decided to start looking. After scouring the entire inter-web, I finally found a one week old red mini doxie to call my own. So far, we have put down the deposit and are just waiting until the puppy is eight weeks old so we can pick it up. I say “it” because we haven’t picked a name yet. I really want to come up with a German name that’s meaning suits this adorable fur-baby. Any ideas?
Our breeder said she would send us pictures weekly over the next 7 weeks so we hope to show you more soon. We are so excited to make this little guy part of our family on September 11th!
