After years of hoping for the opportunity, Maureen is finally taking her PADI Open Water Diver course (with Eco Dive Center). When we first started dating about a year ago, I told her that I would make sure she was certified by the end of the year. Well…that didn’t happen, but she is doing it now…better late than never.
Yesterday, she had her first pool and classroom sessions and did an excellent job. Today, the class went out on the Island Time dive boat out of Los Alamitos Harbor to Santa Catalina Island. We all dove at Hen Rock and Eagle Scout Landing. The conditions were not superb, but the diving was great and Maureen had her first Scuba experience. I look forward to next weekend, when we will be out on the Spectre dive boat out of Ventura Harbor because Maureen will complete her certification! Considering that diving is something that I have been passionate about since I started in 2004, I look forward to a lifetime of sharing that passion with the love of my life!
