A little lighter

Today marks the end of the sixth week of my new weight loss endeavor. Maureen and I each got a FitBit and signed up on My Fitness Pal. The FitBit is basically a pedometer, but it also tracks how many flights of stairs you walk up and the number of calories you burn based upon your height, weight and age. My Fitness Pal is an online food diary that tells you how many calories you should eat based upon your goal…in my case, to lose one pound a week. Well, so far so good…six weeks later, I am down 14 pounds, have lost about a half inch around my neck, about 3/4-inc around my belt line, and about 2 inches around the biggest part of my belly! Not bad considering I have not really been actively exercising. So, stay tuned for more progress!

  1. I have completed seven weeks and have not had nearly the same impressive results. Of course, it’s harder for women to lose weight and based on my height, weight and age I feel like I barely get to eat anything at all! Pretty sad if you ask me. But, I’m not going to be discouraged by the mere 5 pounds I’ve lost. Instead, I’ll keep it up and perhaps throw in a little exercise to boot!
